The Zero Waste Alliance consists of the following organisations: Amigos de la Tierra, Ecologistas en Acción, Greenpeace, Retorna, Rezero, and Surfrider.
The alliance promotes a Zero Waste model together with municipalities and regions, encouraging their commitment to a circular economy and moving towards minimum waste generation and maximum rates of preparation for reuse and recycling.
Its fundamental objectives are:
- Build a shared strategy to promote the Zero Waste model in Spain
- Develop joint projects to promote prevention, reuse, repair, composting and sustainable and responsible waste management
- Promote environmental policies that help the implementation of zero waste
