Zero Waste Lab is a Portugal-based non-profit organisation, founded in 2017, working at the intersection of sustainability, circular economy and societal transformation.

Its mission is to accelerate the transition towards regenerative and low-impact systems by translating Zero Waste principles into practical, scalable solutions. By bridging the gap between strategy and implementation, the organisation supports public authorities, businesses, sports organisations and communities in rethinking resource use, reducing waste and embedding preventive approaches into everyday operations and decision-making. Through its work, Zero Waste Lab challenges linear models and contributes to reshaping systems towards ecological resilience, social wellbeing within planetary boundaries.

Combining technical expertise with hands-on experience, Zero Waste Lab connects education, policy and practice by providing tools, methodologies and capacity building tailored to real-world contexts. 

Its activities span impact assessment, community building, stakeholder engagement and the development of education and training programmes, looking forward to behavioural and cultural change. 

With a strong track record in national and european multi-stakeholder cooperation, the organization adopts a human-centred approach, working to ensure that circular and regenerative solutions are fair, inclusive and effective towards a better life quality.
