Germany

Zero Waste Germany e. V. is an umbrella organization of several local non-profit associations or bigger environmental groups that share the Zero Waste vision and promote waste reduction through campaigns and activities throughout Germany.

With its zero waste philosophy, it aims to push for a reorientation in favour of waste reduction and the responsible use of our planetary resources. It encourages sustainable living and seeks to implement measures for strengthening circular economy, both on the municipal as well as on the national level. Its task forces address the topics of politics, corporations, zero waste cities and lifestyle.

Zero Waste Germany was officially founded in December 2021 and currently includes 12 local member NGOs. It forms part of the national German network Bündnis Wege aus der Plastikkrise and is a member of the international Break Free From Plastic (BFFP) alliance.
