Amigas de la Tierra is a national Spanish organisation, born in 1979. The national office
is located in Madrid, but it also has local groups in the Balearic Islands, Galicia, Aragón, La Rioja and Madrid.
The organisation’s mission is fostering local and global change towards an environmentally responsible, just, and compassionate society. They defend social and environmental justice, and firmly believe that people and the Earth must be at the heart of policy.
They work from the local to the global level. Their local groups actively participate in campaigns to engage citizens and raise awareness of the alternatives available.
