Beau completed her degree in Biology from the Ateneo de Davao University in Davao City. She has more than two decades of environmental advocacy experience behind her. Her first CSO job was as a science researcher for Tanggol Kalikasan. As researcher she worked with communities and peoples’ organizations from different parts of the Philippines dealing with a variety of environmental issues including logging, illegal fishing, development aggression, quarrying and the like. She then took on the post of Advocacy Desk Officer for Haribon where she, along with partner organizations, pressed for the passage of the Clean Air Act followed closely by the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act. She joined Greenpeace in 2000 as Genetic Engineering Campaigner and then Toxics Campaigner in 2005. Beau joined GAIA and BFFP in 2018. Outside of her responsibilities for GAIA and BFFP, she is also involved in permaculture practice and natural building.  Following completion of her long term apprenticeship at the California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture, she now also teaches superadobe, a natural building using earth as main construction material to interested individuals and communities in the Philippines.

Juliet Phillips is an Ocean Campaigner at the Environmental Investigation Agency, working to address the waste and resource crisis through corporate and policy measures. She was previously Campaigns Manager at ShareAction, working on climate finance with a focus on banks and fossil fuels.

Peter is an experienced project director whose areas of technical expertise include waste legislation, strategy development and contract disputes. He also regularly advises on commercial waste, working with both public and private sector clients on business efficiency, valuation and commercial due diligence. Peter joined Eunomia in May 2011 after a career in public sector policy development and project management, primarily in connection with legal aid, but including a secondment to DECC’s strategy team in 2010-11. His experience includes policy development, quality assurance, business process change and procurement. Now, he manages much of Eunomia’s marketing work and edits the www.isonomia.co.uk blog. and plays in Eunomia’s band Dirty Murph & the Kerbside Sorters.

With an educational background in political science and a Master in Sustainable Development, Pierre decided to dedicate his professional life to protect the environment. As he grew up near the Atlantic coast he has a special connection to nature and thus will seize every opportunity to support the ecological transition. He is then determined to make change towards a Zero Waste society happen at the European level, along with promoting citizen’s empowerment at a local level.
