The current extractive, wasteful and polluting nature of food production is having a huge impact on European societies today and for the future. Therefore, a new approach to food systems is needed in order to localize food production, close the loops and redesign the system to prevent waste from occurring, ensuring a sustainable and fair European food system for all.
