Janko Kramžar has been working in the field of municipal waste management since 2002. He is a director of the public company Snaga, the largest waste management company in Slovenia and the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Slovenian Chamber of Local Public Economy. Previously he had a 10 year career in finance. Janko Kramžar has a vast amount of knowledge on key issues regarding the solid waste management from a governance, infrastructure, public health, social, and environmental perspective. He has a detailed understanding of the innovative technical, social and economic factors that impact on the development of sustainable waste management practices and transition to circular economy. Public company Snaga is overseeing the biggest cohesion and environmental project in Slovenia – the Regional Waste Management Centre (RCERO) Ljubljana. Regional Centre has the capacity to solve the waste problems for 700.000 inhabitants, which represents one third of the whole Slovenian population.
